The annual handover event of the Lions Club of Adelaide Hellenic took place on Saturday, 17 June 2023, at Cafe Va Bene, where the achievements of the club, and individual members, were celebrated.
This significant occasion also marked the conclusion of an era for Lion Evelyn Chefalachis, who had served as President for an impressive 15 years. The symbolic gong and gavel were passed on to Lion Greg Musarra, the newly elected President of the club.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Lion Evelyn for her outstanding 15-year tenure as President, as well as her remarkable 30-year contribution as a Lion. In recognition of her dedication, Past District Governor Tony Pederick OAM had the honour of presenting Evelyn with a prestigious Melvin Jones Fellow award on behalf of the club.
We also extend our congratulations to the newly appointed President, Lion Greg, and all the esteemed members of the Lions Club of Adelaide Hellenic for their ongoing commitment and service to the community. Here’s to another fantastic year in 2023/24.
